Display your Talkadot data anywhere on your site

This plugin gives you a set of shortcodes to turn your Talkadot data—engagement, testimonials, stats, and events—into clean, visual proof across your website.

Overview

All shortcodes pull from:

  • Your saved Talkadot shortlink (profile name)
  • Synced data stored in your site

 

Before using any shortcode:

  1. Add your shortlink in Settings
  2. Run a sync (or enable cron)
  3. Select active metrics/testimonials in admin

Engagement & Stats

Engagement Breakdown Widget

Show multiple engagement metrics as animated bars

[tdot_engagement_breakdown]

Displays a stacked bar view like:

  • Actionable
  • Engaging
  • Inspiring
  • Interactive
  • etc.

 

Controlled by:
Selections in Stats → Engagement Breakdown

Event Planner Engagement Breakdown Widget

Show how event planners rate you

[tdot_event_planner_engagement_breakdown]

Displays planner-specific metrics (from Talkadot planner data).

Controlled by:
Selections in Stats → Event Planner Engagement

Engagement Widget

Highlight one specific strength

Parameter:

  • type (required) — engagement metric (lowercase)

  • Total attendees + events

Would Rehire

Displays:

  • % of planners who would rehire you
  • Based on event feedback

Achieved Event Goals

Show how well you deliver on objectives

Show your delivery mix (in-person vs virtual)

  • Date
  • Organization
  • Talk title
  • Rating (%)

Testimonials

Testimonials Grid

Display audience or planner testimonials

[tdot_testimonials]

Parameters:

  • type (optional)
    • audience (default): displays audience testimonials
    • host (event planners): displays event planner testimonials

  • limit (optional): limits the number for testimonials displayed to not exceed this number

 

Examples:

Behavior:

  • Only shows selected (active) testimonials from admin
  • Falls back to:
    • “Attendee” (audience)
    • “Event Planner” (host)

Common Issues

Nothing shows:

  • Make sure your shortlink is set
  • Run a sync
  • Confirm data exists in admin tabs

Engagement widget not working:

  • Check type is lowercase
  • Confirm that metric exists in your data

Testimonials missing:

  • Ensure they are marked active

Recommended Usage (Strategic)

  • Use Engagement Breakdown once per page (hero or mid-page)
  • Use Engagement Widgets to reinforce key traits throughout
  • Pair Testimonials + Stats widgets for stronger credibility
  • Use Events table for planners who want proof of experience
